Remains of disappeared civilizations
At the end of December 2014, the website Dopotopa.com became 5 years old. Part of my life connected with it has gone as fast and unnoticed as all the time from the birth of the site to the present day. It seemed, like it was only yesterday that I was publishing my first pages on the internet, which were visited by a few people a day, worried that they are at the end of the queue of index quoting, and I was looking for solutions to increase the zero ratings of my pages on the biggest search engines. Today everything is different. The site is visited by 3000 per day, it is on the leading positions in the World Wide Web at some key words. I was invited many times to take part in lectures and films based on my site’s topics. Eight of my new books were published. I have been to many expeditions, scientific conferences and forums. I have received a lot of letters from Russian and foreign readers for the last five years, where they thanked me for my work and shared new ideas and hypostatises.
It seems, everything is in order. It is time to celebrate current success. What do I lack for that? As I found out – in the main, - satisfaction from my finished work.
Firstly, for the last three years (contrary to the first two years), I did much less than I could. Of course, there are explanations and excuses. Work, family, site maintenance and modernisation, the biggest part of the technical work was done not at my initiative. Without them my site would have been frozen in a three year old state, from1000 pages it would be visited by 500, maximum 1000 people per day. Now my researches are known to at list 3-5 times more readers.
Nevertheless, it is a weak excuse that I placed 5 or may be 10 times less article on the site than I should have for the last 3 years. It lacks considerable part of my previously published works and may be few dozen unwritten articles followed my research of the Scriptures, legends of different nations, and carried out expeditions.
Secondly, despite of the fact that for 5 years of the site's existence, I was found by serious and interesting people – from famous scientists and researchers of the Unknown, to psychics and mediums, despite free help with translations of published works to English, despite that I acquired colleagues with the same interests and partners for expeditions, despite my numerous speeches at different level conferences and taking part in films about the Unknown, I have not got possibly the most important – scientific recognition of my research and also financial support.
The reason for the former is written in my previous articles. Scientific quoting indexes are imbedded into Russian science by Roman Catholic world mainly for severing revolutionary researches, which are to change the existing scientific theories and world order, vertical structures of Science Academy and Ministry for Education are built at the principle of ‘tightening nuts’ against any nonconformity. That is why it is very difficult to publish works in the scientific press (it does not hinder recognition of scientists, among them university rectors, directors of Academy of Science institutions and research centres).
As regards to absence of financial support for my works, here we have common grund for our country problem. In order to obtain grants and purposed investments for carrying out scientific research, one must have a good ‘pusher’, ideally from the members of Academic and Scientific Commissions. Who would do such a ‘push’ to spoil reputation of a scientist and researcher who contradicts accepted points of view?
There is also another partial problem – very little support of scientific research from private businesses in Russia. Although, to be fair, many businessmen make substantial donations to cultural development. Probably, they do not have funds left for science or it does not interest them. That is why everything has to be done at my own cost and in my private time.
How many more research and written works could have been done if only even small amounts were put towards my work that would have enabled me to pay my assistants, and to unite with other co-thinkers. But there are none. Time goes by relentlessly fast and I can only state sadly that my last three years of work with the site were almost wasted. Sooner or later everything ends, good or bad. I hope, the dragging site reconstruction work is coming to its end (2.5 months later – as it happened it did not, I could not publish a single article for 4 months.)
The time now comes to continue publishing of the old materials and write a new series of works according to a long thought-out plan. I will begin with an unplanned article about difficulties connected with discoveries of ancient civilisation’s remains and found by me ruins of perished pre deluge civilisations. The idea of this article appeared suddenly, as a response to shocking news for the whole world about destruction of the Sumer-Babylonian civilisation's inheritance by Islamic State extremists in Iraq.
Islamic State fighters re-change history
Here are some quotes from recent news (February-March 2015):
‘On Friday, (27 February 2015) the internet showed a video made by Islamic State fighters. It showed how terrorists destroyed ancient statues and bas reliefs, which were preserved in Mosul’s museums. Extremists crushed sculptures with sledge hummers, club hummers and electric breakers. Monuments of Sumer, Akkadian, Babylonian and Assyrian culture became victims of vandalism. Including rare statues of winged bulls – Shedu, which were thought to be human guardians in Sumerian mythology. Figures, destroyed by terrorists, ornamented the palace of king Sargon II, who ruled Assyria in VII century BC. Bas reliefs of the Nineveh gates, the capital of Akkad, was also destroyed.’
‘Mosul museum is situated in the north of Iraq, where the capital of Akkad, Nineveh was in VIII-VII centuries BC. Now the territory of the museum is fully under control of Islamic fighters. This is not the first occasion of Islamic State vandalism. Earlier, the public library of Mosul was devastated. Thousands of rare books and manuscripts were destroyed. Many of them were especially precious and were included in the UNESCO world heritage list. Specialists compare the degree of this pogrom with the plundering of the Cairo museum in Egypt, 2011. Then, two mummies were destroyed; statues of Tutankhamun and Nefertiti were stolen, along with other precious exhibits. One more incident is remembered, when in 2001 Afghanistan’s taliban destroyed gigantic statues of the Buddha, cut in stone fifteen hundred years ago in the Bamiyan valley. First, they were shot at by artillery, then destroyed with explosives. Not without dark irony, Islamic fighters were saying that the process of destruction demands a lot of effort.’
‘Lately, the Islamic fighters started actively to destroy pre Islamic-era monuments. They blew up the central library in Mosul in February, lit fires in the library’s court yard from books and manuscripts, which were the cultural heritage of Iraq. Altogether, around 10 thousand volumes were destroyed.’
‘Earlier, similar to Islamic State fighters, but not to such a scale, Taliban fighters did the same. In 2001 they blew up two gigantic statues of the Buddha, cut in stone in the Afghanistan province of Bamiyan. Those statues were considered the tallest in the world and were famous monuments of the pre Islamic culture of Afghanistan in III-V centuries.’
‘Islamic State fighters marked themselves with another act of vandalism. Today, they practically raised to the ground the remains of ancient city Dur-Sharrukin (The capital of Assyria during the last years of king Sargon II reign, before it was moved to Nineveh– A.K.) at the north of Iraq, famous for its' stone bas reliefs. Many of these invaluable monuments, destroyed by islamists, we can now see only in copies, presented in major world museums.’ ‘Nimrud gate guardians (Kalah or Kalhu, founded in XIII century BC – A.K.), winged half-bulls, half-humans, are known to every school child. The visible symbol of Mesopotamia. Statues, which are almost three thousand years old… They were almost three thousand years old when Islamic State fighters came to the outskirts of Mosul.’
On the 5th of March it become know that Islamic State terrorists flattened Nimrud with bulldozers. There are no videos yet but on recordings made in February, the same ISists in Mosul crushed the gates of another ancient city – Nineveh. The front line lies right in between the Tigris and Euphrates – the burning cradle of ancient civilisation, where XXI century barbarians appeared. If Nimrud has the same destiny as Nineveh, it means that famous palaces, statues, bas relief plates – the real treasures of Ancient Eastern arts, will cease to exist. The whole layer of world culture, which was studied for many centuries, has disappeared.’
‘This morning, in the north of Iraq, fighters of the radical Islamic State destroyed the ruins of the ancient city of Hatra. IS fighters used bulldozers to destroy Hatra city,’ – quotation by RIA news of Said Mumuzini, the representative of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan. He informed that islamists stole ancient gold and silver coins preserved in town, attributed to Assyrian king’s times.’
The ancient city of Hatra was situated 80 km to the south of Mosul. It was founded in III-II centuries BC by  the Seleucid empire, in I-II centuries BC, after the conquest of the Parthian empire; it became a thriving religious and trading centre.’
Looking at shown TV video clips about the destruction of most of the ancient Nineveh sculptures and structures, reading newspaper articles about the demolition of gigantic stone Buddhas in Bamiyan valley, and imagining how bulldozers crushed stone structures and sculptures of Nimrud and Hatra, I shiver involuntarily from the thought that the history of a considerable part of Mesopotamia, known to every school pupil, was erased all of a sudden. It is good that some of the world museums had earlier taken stone originals of Ninevan and Nimrud sculptures and copies of destroyed statues. It is good that history still remembers about the great Sumer-Akkad-Babylonian-Assyrian heritage. But what would have happened if other religious fanatics burned modern history school books and destroyed and devastated museums, where those copies are preserved?
What would it be when the last remains of Sumer-Babylonian civilisation disappear from the world’s museums?
The fact that Sumer, Akkad, Babylon and Assyrian civilisations ever existed will be remembered only thanks to verbal stories, which would be written in a form of legends, myths or folk’s fairy tales by different people in different times. But what would the future scientists say? If they think the same as modern scientists, who consider that legends are ‘beautiful stories’, having no word of truth, then great Mesopotamian civilisations will not be remembered by anyone but feeble attempts of lonely researchers to tell about their bygone greatness will be vigorously opposed by academic scientists of that time. Any works to this topic will be considered anti scientific and their publication in scientific issues will not be encouraged.
аRe-writing of history- the destruction of cultural heritage, has always existed
And now, let’s think together, what is the difference between such future scientist’s attitude towards stories about the Sumerian, Akkadian, Babylonian or Assyrian civilisations, and modern scientist’s attitude towards stories about civilisations of Elves and Gnomes, abundantly found in different nations. The answer is obvious – nothing, even if others would like to say contrary. Arguments of historians and archaeologists that they have no facts for proving Elves and Gnome’s existence are not convincing due to many reasons. Firstly, because such remains do exist  and in big numbers (a little later about this). Secondly, because in the past as it is now, conquerors and religious fanatics destroyed with vengeance the cultural heritage of the past, trying to root out whole nations memories about their history.
Ехamples of destructions of material remains and the cultural heritage of past civilisations
Even when I was still in school, I was almost crying when reading about Spanish conquistadors making ‘sacred’ auto-da-fé , during which the bonfires of the Inquisition were fed with cart loads of books and other precious relics of Mayan, Toltec, Aztec and other civilisations of Mesoamerica. At the present time there are only four original Mayan books (Dresden, Madrid, Paris and Grolier codexes), preserved in libraries of the named cities and none of the original Aztec manuscripts. The biggest part of what is left, is written in Latin letters by Spanish inquisitors or scalars Indians just to preserve the smallest amount of their knowledge.
A vivid example –‘ Popol Vuh’, the maya-k’iche book, the history of which is full of mysteries. According to some it was found at the beginning of XVIII century in a wall of a wooden church in Guatemala; to others, it was given by Santo Tomas Chuila to the missionary F. Ximenez. Popol Vuh, called the maya-k’iche bible, is almost the only book in the world which tells about time before the World Creation (according to the Old Testament), when the Earth's surface was covered by impenetrable darkness, heated to unimaginable temperatures and shuddering from terrible earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. It also says about the creation and destruction of a few humanities and gives descriptions of people’s life under ground for a long time, when our planet was shrouded in darkness, there was no sun or moon, there was terrible cold, snow and hail fell incessantly. Modern historic concepts do not have such times, but is it so?
Practically all old Slavonic books were burnt during the rule of the grandfather and father of Peter I; Mikhail Fedorovich and Aleksey Mikhailovich Romanov. They also destroyed many other invaluable relics of old Slavonic culture. Their barbaric destruction was done according to the auto-da-fé principle, used by Spanish clergy in America. Only a handful of books were saved in the libraries of Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia and other east European countries.
Countless numbers of ancient books and manuscripts were burnt during antiquity time, on the  medieval inquisition fires, knowingly destroyed during our time. Similar fates caught up with many ancient structures, sculptures, bas reliefs, engravings and various objects left from existence in the past civilisations. The destiny of most finds, which are not squeezed into basic science, is not better. Among the most famous events of past civilisation’s heritage destruction are fires in Alexandria’s library during the wars in 48 BC, 273, 391 and VII century AD…
This is just a small part of the examples of building destruction, left by previous civilisations. Even more devastating and catastrophic for history were cities and cultural structure destructions by conquerors. Almost every second winner thought it is his duty to flatten to the ground everything that was dear and sacred to the defeated ones. For instance, Jerusalem was destroyed 16 times (especially badly it suffered in 598 BC and 70 AD, when the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar and the Roman commander Titus completely destroyed Jerusalem and burnt Solomon’s temple and the Second Temple of Jerusalem, the whole city was turned into ruins, Temple Mount was ploughed. Babylon was looted and destroyed in 1595, 1223 and 1158 BC by the armies of Hittites, Assyrians and Elam; Thebes was plundered in VII century BC by the last Assyrian king, Ashurbanipal and completely destroyed during the epoch of Ptolemies, Greek kings of Egypt (IV-I centuries BC), Memphis was destroyed in 640 AD by Arabic conquerors, and lay in ‘magnificent ruins’ (at present time the capital of lower Egypt is piles of rubble with palm trees growing on the top), the capital of the Hittite’s empire, Hattusha was demolished by Anitta, king of Kussara roughly in 1300 BC. The same fate was met by many other cities of the ancient world, among them already mentioned Dur-Sharrukin, Nineveh and Hatra in the north of Iraq.
During expeditions to Israel, Turkey and Bulgaria, I, many times, met with ruins, covered by earth (among them Jerusalem and Hattusha). In many places there were new ruins on the top of the old ones, proving numerous acts of vandalism.
Destruction of material remains and cultural heritage of pre deluge civilisations
Up until now, we talked about time span within official history (before III-IV, maximum X millennia BC). If we allow, without stating anything, that before official history there was an unofficial one, we can project acts of vandalism to it as well. But its consequences were even more pitiful because for tens and hundreds of thousands of years, destructions caused by people had to be multiplied by natural forces (earthquakes, fires, floods, etc.).
Let us recollect thefamous dialog by Timaeus, written by the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, where he said:
"There have been, and will be again, many destructions of mankind arising out of many causes; the greatest have been brought about by the agencies of fire and water, and other lesser ones by innumerable other causes…
the bodies moving in the heavens around the earth, and a great conflagration of things upon the earth, which recurs after long intervals; at such times those who live upon the mountains and in dry and lofty places are more liable to destruction than those who dwell by rivers or on the seashore…
When, on the other hand, the gods purge the earth with a deluge of water, the survivors in your country are herdsmen and shepherds who dwell on the mountains, but those who, like you, live in cities are carried by the rivers into the sea.
Whereas just when you and other nations are beginning to be provided with letters and the other requisites of civilized life, after the usual interval, the stream from heaven, like a pestilence, comes pouring down, and leaves only those of you who are destitute of letters and education; and so you have to begin all over again like children, and know nothing of what happened in ancient times, either among us or among yourselves.."
Destruction of pre deluge civilizations during global catastrophes
I wrote about devastating destruction during times of geological catastrophes in my articles:
Great catastrophes in history of the Earth’, ‘Global catastrophes, change of Earth’s axial position and destruction on Earth. Reasons and consequences.’ ‘Catastrophe on the edge of Eocene and Oligocene (34 million years ago)’, ‘Catastrophe on the edge of Miocene and Pliocene (5.3 million years ago)’, ‘The most important catastrophe in Earth’s history, during which humanity had appeared. When it happened’, ‘Last days of the Great Northern civilisation – ancestors of white gods. What did happen at north-east of Asia, Alaska and Arctic shelf 12 thousand years ago? (reconstruction on the edge of geology and history)’ and others. Last such a catastrophe, the memories of which are left in many nation’s legends and the consequences of which are well studied by scientists, took place 12 thousand years ago. According to A. Wegener, the founder of continental drift theory, and American geophysicist O’Kelly, Earth's axis shifted to 15 or 30 degrees 12 thousand year ago. Following the calculations of Polish astronomer, L. Zeidler, as a result of such axial movement, tsunamis as high as 5 km rushed towards each other from south and north of the globe. The consequences of this event were described in my article ‘Global catastrophes, change of Earth’s axial position and destruction on Earth. Reasons and consequences’ and ‘Last days of the Great Northern civilisation – ancestors of white gods. What did happen at north-east of Asia, Alaska and Arctic shelf 12 thousand years ago? (reconstruction on the edge of geology and history)’. After the receding of the tsunamis, a bare washed surface, described by Plato in Timaeus and Laws, should have been left on considerable parts of the Earth.
But not only that. In another part of the globe (Siberia, Alaska), thick sediments of the flood, mixed with corpses of mammoths, hairy rhinoceroses, sabretooth tigers, trunks and branches of trees, which were frozen in ice (permafrost) as a result of sudden cold due to the abrupt change of the North Pole's position. Thick flood sediments, probably, are contained within considerable territories of West and East Europe and North America, where they are mistakenly included in Pleistocene (Quaternary) glacial deposits. I. Velikovskiy wrote about it in his works. Geologists from Russia and USA, mapping glacial deposits, wrote to me about this as well. It is hard to imagine, how many town ruins of perished civilisations can be buried under layers of flood sediments 12,000 years old.
The chances to discover remnants of pre deluge civilizations are not great
All that is said above should show considerable luck for those researchers, who find ruins and remains of ancient civilisations. The more they delve into the past, the less chances they have to discover traces of former greatness of disappeared nations. In the first turn, it concerns civilisations which existed before the flood. The fact they did exist, relatively recently, is beyond doubts – almost all ancient tales prove that. Not long ago, a student from Yakutia came to me with a request to consult his diploma, - the empire of Rama, a powerful state in Asia, which is mentioned in Indian folk lore. As I knew nothing about finds, proving the existence of such a state, I asked my friend, an Indologist, to gather some material. Few years have gone since, there is still no material about Rama’s empire, maybe because it does not exist at all. It looks like a huge state of the past disappeared without a trace.
Apart from Rama’s empire, according to Indian folk lore, there were not less powerful states with many millions of inhabitants: Lanka, Swarga, Kimpurusha-Varsha and other states with capitals Lanka, Amarawati, Ayodhya etc; inhabitants of which used flying machines. Where are they now?
To find their traces is impossible. If we add to all the above the Tafonomian theory of soviet geologist and palaeontologist I. Efremov, published in ‘Works of the Palaeontological Institute’ in 1950 (24 volumes), proving that ‘ghostly’ staircase of evolution (fish-amphibious-reptile-mammal-human) is explained that remains of humans and animals were torn out of the book of life. Now we understand, that most of them existed before flood cities and settlements in the Pleistocene and more over in the Neogene and earlier geological periods; not even mentioning that sculptures and other material proof, has gone forever.
Conclusion 1 (relative to technogenic civilisations): The absence of ancient cities and structural ruins does not prove the absence of highly developed civilizations in the past
Now, it is time to come to a reason why I wrote this article. Its' conclusion is simple and obvious for everyone (from my point of view). The absence of ancient cities and structural ruins in geological layers does not disprove the existence of civilisations in historical periods, where those layers developed. Such a conclusion is fully applicable to technogenic civilisations which built the same reinforced concrete, brick and wooden houses as we have. All similar structures, even if they survived the hands of barbarians, almost definitely were erased during global catastrophes and scattered in huge areas, where they still are in a form of eroded remains of different shape and form or just covered by later sediments.
Conclusion 2 (relative to harmonious civilizations): Ruins of Neogene-Pleistocene towns and structures comprise vast areas in all continents and oceans
To our fortune, previous civilisations (to be precise, their part) were not like ours. They did not develop along the technogenic way, did not build reinforced concrete, brick (or from small stone blocks with cement) and wooden housing but preferred to live in harmony with nature and tried not to destroy nature but improve it. They dwelt in rocks, building, like termites, underground cities; they shaped rocks into intricate figures of humans, animals and birds and finished them off with huge stone (megalithic) blocks, building fortresses which looked like unimaginable fairy structures from the fantasy world.
Those megalithic and underground structures survived global catastrophes – cataclysmic earthquakes, universal fires and floods. Ravaged, broken, with numerous rifts and cracks, washed by floods, eaten by erosion, with massive torn out blocks, rolled down the mountain slopes or scattered in valleys, they stand at the glance of bystanders of XXI century even today. They could not be destroyed by any conquerors, because it was beyond their capacity to demolish solid rocks. Now, these rock complexes of long gone epochs, comprise the base of many ancient cities, dug out by archaeologists – Jerusalem, Hattusha, Peperikon, Tiwanaku, Lanka and others and widely spread in zones of stable raising in the Miocene (15 million years ago), where they could not be covered by massive soft sedimental layers, and on the oceans bottoms. I include them in highlights by me under water-under/above ground megalithic complex.
According to my research, this complex, presented by many storied underground rock cities and also ruins of above ground structures from well-cut stone (megalithic) blocks weighing from several tons to several hundred tons widely spread all around the globe. In my works ‘When and by whom was under/above ground megalithic complexes built in Israel?’, ‘When and by whom were Cappadocia (Turkey) underground towns built?’, ‘When were megalithic structures built?’, ‘Under water-under/above ground megalithic complex – ruins of cities and settlements of Neogene period surviving catastrophes and floods’, ‘Megalithic structures of Bolivia, Israel, Turkey and Russia – are fragments of under water-under/above ground megalithic complex, covering the whole world’ and others, its Neogene-Pleistocene age is substantiated. Photos from my expeditions let us judge about the greatness of this complex, published in the section ‘My explorations’. Especially vivid are photos from my last expeditions in May 2014, August 2014 and March 2014 in Turkey, Bulgaria and Israel. Analysing those pictures, we can understand what those cities and fortresses, built by long gone civilisations livng in harmony with nature, were. And to realise, their magnificence, which was not possible to recreate by any of the after deluge civilisations, including ours. Look and wonder together with me, why most of modern archaeologists do not see spread all around the world Neogene-Pleistocene stone structures or think that they were built by after deluge (lived in after glacial or Holocene epoch) civilisations, appeared on Earth millions or hundreds of  thousands of  years before. May be because the majority of them (and all of us) intuitively think that all previous people were the same as us? But it is not so! Including the fact that not all previous intelligent Earth inhabitants were people.
